Hi All,

My dad's cousins used to sing this a song that started:

Gomats kaleh Aghavni goshig, go sheeget chela
Walk slowly, Agnes, so your shoe doesn't fall off

No one in my family is left who remembers the whole song. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows the words or anything about this song. Somehow, I don't think it's from Gomidas... :-) But I could be wrong ...

I thought of this song the other day when the news came out that a 5500 year old shoe was found in a cave in Armenia. Ah hah, I thought, THAT'S what happened to poor Agnes' shoe! :-)
